Annual Summer School of Political Studies

Annual International Youth Forum of Political Studies "Foros" is a long term educational project. The main aim of the project is the creation of civil society in Russia. The organizers of the Forum are The Institute of Political Studies, The Philosophy Department of Moscow State University, National Fund of "Popular Recognition".
Each year many Russian students and students from other countries take part in this Forum. Through seminars, lectures and workshops which are delivered by famous Russian politicians, political scientists and other professionals and experts who work in the field of politics they learn how do real politics work. The Forum provides to students an opportunity to study the experience of western countries in creation of civil society, to learn how democratic agencies work and how these agencies could be implemented in Russian society. Along with this students learn how to apply the theoretical knowledge they have making different projects. Another distinguish feature of the forum is that the participants has a chance to meet their future employer who organize the presentation of their firm and conduct workshops.
In addition the new methods of education are worked out and applied in the Forum what allows in a short period of time to enrich the experience and to advance the level of education of participants.

The First summer School was organized in 1999. It was the first project in Russia that aimed to create Civil Society through growing up the new generation and working out new methods and programs of education.
